So LS builds tractors for Montana, McCormick, New Holland and who knows who else.... Sounds good to me.... If I every need a part in the future, I guess I can go to the dealer of my choice, since it seems they are all selling the same tractor..... just different paint and logos... I would not be surprised in the future to see a LS tractor with a John Deere sticker on it. I can see myself in the future, after years of work, with a green fender on one side and a blue one on the other with a red hood and who knows what color wheels.... Kind of like the Partridge Family tractor... or a Johnny Cash 'One Piece at a Time' kind of look to it....
Actually it makes me feel good that so many companies think the LS brand is good enough to stake their name on it.

I got a service manual for MY r3644 from my dealer. Its not perfect but much better than the regular manual that has the poor translation.
He got it from Montana. I would think one would be available for the 5740 also. Check with your dealer and have him call MontaNA |

LS also builds for Farmtrac. See this thread about what LS has in the works now. LS Cable has branched out and started "LS Mtron" and has a "new" tractor line in the works. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/m...tron-blue.html Does LS have plans to do away with the tractors that they supply for Farmtrac, Montana, McCormick....and just have their own tractor? I guess time will tell! You can also see the "farmtrac troubles" thread to read more about the LS Mtron company. |
