So LS builds tractors for Montana, McCormick, New Holland and who knows who else.... Sounds good to me.... If I every need a part in the future, I guess I can go to the dealer of my choice, since it seems they are all selling the same tractor..... just different paint and logos... I would not be surprised in the future to see a LS tractor with a John Deere sticker on it. I can see myself in the future, after years of work, with a green fender on one side and a blue one on the other with a red hood and who knows what color wheels.... Kind of like the Partridge Family tractor... or a Johnny Cash 'One Piece at a Time' kind of look to it....

Actually it makes me feel good that so many companies think the LS brand is good enough to stake their name on it.

Maybe I could finally get a service manual for my 5740C through McCormick or New Holland.

This would be a plus!!!

I got a service manual for MY r3644 from my dealer. Its not perfect but much better than the regular manual that has the poor translation.

He got it from Montana. I would think one would be available for the 5740 also. Check with your dealer and have him call MontaNA

LS also builds for Farmtrac. See this thread about what LS has in the works now. LS Cable has branched out and started "LS Mtron" and has a "new" tractor line in the works.

Does LS have plans to do away with the tractors that they supply for Farmtrac, Montana, McCormick....and just have their own tractor? I guess time will tell!

You can also see the "farmtrac troubles" thread to read more about the LS Mtron company.
