Nice splitter. That should make splitting wood fast with the 2-sided blade. That is a large generator also. How are you going to mount the generator to the tractor? Build a small trailer or 3pt bracket? How much output electricity do you think the 4940 will put out?

When you get around to using that splitter, I'd sure like to hear about it! The double stroke deal is a pretty neat idea, as long as the build quality is OK.

Today I used my new log splitter and it worked very well. The smooth operation in both directions was very nice with no stopping and jerking. This log splitter is very well built and its heavy. I'm very happy with it. Others may not be, but I am.
Today I was splitting up some red oak wood from a tree that hurricane IKE took down back in September. The wood was still very green, but this splitter never looked back and was busting the log pieces with ease.
The generator is a Winco 25KW. The output is 104 amps continous @240 volts. This generator is the biggest that I could run with my tractor. I am going to make a nice three point mount for this generator with a rain cover and casters so I can move it around my shop. It is very heavy for its size 388# of energy.
