Fuel filter change on a 4940C

Steve,I also have a 4940c.I did not experience fuel trickling into the filter(from the fuel source)I changed my fuel filter and I am having issues.Is there a fuel pump on the tank side of the filter,activated by turning key to on position?

I had to leave the bleeder open on to pod the fuel filter housing, then I had to use a rag and blow some compressed air into the fuel tank till fuel started spurting out the bleeder on top of the filter housing. Once it was spurting out fuel I blocked in the bleeder then used the primer pump on top of the fuel filter housing to pump up the fuel system. It worked, but is was messy.
