I've got a 2005 5740C and it has been leaking hydraulic fluid for quite some time now. It's leaking hydraulic fluid from the black box under the right side step up, where the lines to the front end loader hook into this black box on one side and the hydraulic lines from the tractor itself hook in on the other side. I changed the O Rings on all lines coming in and going out, about two years ago, because they wewre all leaking, but it's leaking badly again. It's now affecting the raising and lowering of my FEL when I spike hay bales and my power steering too. When I try to put in some more hydraulic fluid, the system won't take much either.
I already added hydraulic fluid and then bled off the air, but that didn't seem to help much at all. I figure I'll change all those O Rings again, but I need the size of O ring. The manual doesn't give any info regarding much of anything and certainly doesn't give me something like an O Ring size. Any help would be appreciated.
