owner just brought over a huskee lt3800 mower for one of our shop yards. of course the manual didn't arrive with it.. :(

i see the mower says it takes 10w30 oil. can this thing be run on syn oil from the start?

I can't find a &^^%$ MANUAL ONLINE WITHOUT THE SN.. AND THE GOOFBALL GUYS AT THE SHOP CAN'T IND THE SN ON THE MOWER.. :)

I'll have to run out there I think, if i want the number.

any ideas on the oil?

does it come with a break in oil or?

ok.. so got model number. no manuals at mtd online for it.

nice touch mtd!

Gotta love how MTD ruins anything they put their hands on.

Synthetic should not pose a problem, ran it in our CC LT1042 until it left the property.

i hear ya. :)

so i ran to work and got the model # I kew it had to be one of 2 numbers as there is one for the other 48 and one for CA. anyway. got the # anyway.. went to their site just to double check.. AGAIN. no online manual for either :)

I ended up calling tech support ( got thru!! ) and asked them if syn from t he start was good and they told me 5w30 or 10w30 syn.. or 10w30 dino is fine.

and I'm getting the engine and owners manual for free.

at least it has a brigs engine. I kinda like those . my 16yr old muyrray rider at home has one. don't miss a lik..
