they are similar. The 5000 was US, or UK built from '65-'75, the 5900 was Mexico built '85-'93

I am looking for radiator & air filter assembly for my 5900 but dealer said they were no longer available so I wonder if 5000 parts would fit?

According to messicks website, it is avaliable, but the origional part was superceeded.

But man is that one expensive radiator even the aftermarket one if you scroll down is $460

New Holland 5900 4 CYL AG TRACTOR MEXICO

If you are handy around a garage and can fabricate, you may be able to make the aftermarket one from a 5000 work. At least it is only $260

New Holland 5000-SERIES 4 CYL TRACTOR

But you may also try searching elsewhere online to see if there is any cheaper aftermarket ones avaliable. And you could also tor taking it to a radiator shop for repair, depending on what is wrong.

I forgot to say that in the links you need to click on cooling and related parts at the left of the screen, and then click on radiator and related parts
