My 4000 ford diesel dies like it ran out of fuel. It has fuel, turns over but will not start.

Is the fuel shut off? Air lock in the system. Did you try priming it.

More info will help us narrow down the problem.

make sure it has enough fuel to run. check for air in the system if there is air in system it will have to be bleed #1 YOUR FUEL PICKUP PUMP SHOULD HAVE HAND PRIMER LEVER ON IT Goto your fuel injector pump and lossen 1 or both of the bleed screws then pump the hand pump untill only fuel comes out without air. tighten bleed screws next find #1CLYLINDER AND LOSSEN 5/8 PIPE NUT SLIGHTLY tHEN PROCEED TO START ENGINE WITH STARTER With in a few turns engine should start hitting and run Retighten line going to #1 cylinder as soon as engine begains to run if this is not problem check filters for water or stopped up also could injector pump going bad

The fuel line from the tank was clogged. There is trash in the tank. I blew it out with air and bleed everything and she started.
