My 9600 is not doing good, when I get in to move, put it in gear, and release clutch it sits there like it's not in gear, ok so I tried to raise the 3 pt hitch arms up and nothing, no PTO either. So I turned it off let it sit and checked hydro oil and it's good. What's wrong?? Thanks

+1. Stripped splines at the coupler bolted to the engine crankshaft and the shaft that engages it (or used to). Transmission must be completely removed to replace the shaft. Front (clutch) split first to confirm diagnosis.

+2, but as an alternative to trans out and new shaft and coupler we used to machine a 3/4" socket into coupler and square nose of shaft to 3/4" in situ with grinder if cost is factor in repair. Have had tw's and 10 series run for years with this repair.
