Sorry second thread but screwed up title in first one. I have a diesel 4600. It idles at 850 -900 rpm's but should be at 600-700. How do I correct this?

I'll bet your throttle cable just has a clamp at the injection pump that you loosen and move the cable and retighten the clamp. That's the way it was on my 4010 JD (18.5 hp diesel). I've yet to explore how to do it on my 1025 that idles at near 1,600.

Yep your correct. Just pulled it apart and unscrewed the end to gain the appropriate length now she idles at 650rpms making the pto engagement much smoother starting my bushhog. Thanks
