I've had a gas 2600 for awhile now and decided that I wanted to fix all the wiring going to the instrument cluster. When I got it the oil pressure switch was working, but that was about it. I have now clean up all the existing wiring replacing where needed and have it all connected back in accordance with the wiring diagram. Now it appears everything is working. However, the lights work when the tractor is not running, but cut off when cranked up. Any ideas? The hot wire is running from the battery side of the starter solenoid through the ignition switch and to the light switch.

Thanks Rick. Poor wording on my part. The hot wire shares a spade connector on the switch, but the light switch is not powered through the ignition switch. Also, I went out this evening and took another look at it and the light is on when the tractor is running but it is very faint. Bad connection, bad switch?

Thanks
