G'day Indsam and :welcome: that number you have is a part no to me, I am guessing it is cast into the block ( raised lettering) you need to find the number that is stamped into the block ( recessed)'

Yep. Thats the block casting number. Anything that is cast or raised lettering isnt going to be a serial number. The serial number would be stamped somewhere. Usually on a machined flat spot around the starter. And there should also be a model code and date code there as well that will tells us all we need to know.

Any pictures. That will help us a ton.

Any pictures of the tractor as a whole?

For us average joes (without a dealer connection or ability to decode the serial #) we have no idea what model that is from.

I believe that block is a 201CI 3-cylinder used in the 4000-series

And while that does indeed look like a serial number, the D in the front isnt jiving. Should start with a C or B?? But I am no ford expert. There should be a flat somewhere around the starter with a serial number similar to that, as well as a model code, and a date code. Is there anything there around the starter??

Look on the transmission just above and behind the starter.
Should be 3 lines of numbers/letters there.
Post those and someone should be able to help ID it for you.
A picture of the tractor would help us ID it too.
