Hi all from a new member in New Zealand. Here goes.....
My 6640 SL (closed centre, top link sensing) had a problem with the rear lift bobbing or bouncing. Eventually it got to the stage where the hitch was stuck in the full down position and neither the position or draft control levers would move. Took the top cover off to check the linkages and the push rod had come out from inside the end of the main control valve. I have a workshop book which details the correct adjustment of the linkages. Stage 1 is to set the top link sensing spring. No problem.
Stage 2 details the setting of the main valve spool with the linkage in the draft setting. No problem.
Stage 3 deals with setting the main valve for position control. When I get to this stage there is not enough adjustment available from the eccentric shaft to get the required 11.7mm from the main spool to the end of the bushing.
Can anyone shed any light on this, please?
