3610 Ford tractor.
My first successful field repair.
I spent many hours this Summer in 100˚+ Texas heat mowing my Dad's place with his tractor. He is 88 and blind so I get most of his seat time. While mowing the front wheels went in opposite directions. I could see no problems till I lifted the front end with the FEL, then the problem was obvious - a broken spindle rod dropped out. Order the new $60 spindle on the internet and was mowing again in two weeks.

Wow great pic and story to go with it. Thanks

Sputnik had an over/under. It would run 25mph in high. Same Summer this pic was taken I was in town pulling 2 wheel trailer haulin load of pig feed. Town Marshall stopped me and told me to slow down. When I got home Dad asked me why that trip took so long. Told him what happened. He got in the pickup and went to town. When he got back home 30 minutes later he said don't worry bout the Marshall, he won't bother you again. Wish I could have witnessed that conversation!!! :)

We bought this little 1949 Ford 8N in February of 1998 that we sold in 2015 after we upgraded in
July of 2014 to this 1958 861D Ford that currently shows only 547 hours on the meter.
