Hey guys,
I have split my tractor between engine and transmission in order to seal a soft plug (cast plug, freeze plug w/e) behind the flywheel. I am having trouble removing flywheel and am in need of help. I have a 1968 ford 4000 with select-o-speed transmission. When I split it there is a shaft coming from middle of flywheel that inserts into what must be the back end of the clutch? It looks like this shaft needs to come off in order to access the bearing and flywheel for removal. I have tried hitting flywheel (below teeth) with soft hammer, prying, turning, hitting, prying etc. it seems to have no effect and want to ask before I hit harder.
