I have a question about the PTO on a 3930 New Holland. The PTO has an electric engage switch.
The PTO will continue to turn while engaged with clutch depressed. Is it suppose to stop with clutch in? I've been using it since I bought it two years ago like this. My John Deere and Massy friends say it should stop turning. I never really thought about it till they mentioned it.

Your 3930 has independent PTO. The clutch pedal has zero to do with the PTO operation. The electrical switch near the PTO lever is a neutral safety switch. It has nothing to do with PTO operation and everything to do with preventing you from starting your tractor with the PTO engaged.

Thanks! I was kinda thinking it was independent. All these old timers think their tractor should work like theirs.
