Just curious if Spencer200 can tell me what the dealer price of a TC40D, hydro, supersteer, 17LA, mid PTO, grill guard, canopy, HD QT bucket, rear work light. I'll check and see exactly what I gave for mine this evening.
I've been curious about the same thing. I've seen his posts on the 35D and it made me wonder. I've got the identical tractor as you, except no canopy and I added 3 rear remotes.
TC40D SS BASE COST 16412.00 R4 tires $1447.00, 17LA loader base unit $1894.00, 72" hd bucket $475.00, quick attach $275.00, Grill guard $145.00, rear work light $18.00, mid pto kit $289.00. Total cost $20955.00 minus current dealer incentives 1350.00 equals $19605.00 This price does not include dealer freight cost which vary from region to region or dealer set up cost which vary by the dealer. A good price would be $20977.00 to $21370.00 or 7-9% over cost plus freight and set up. I am not sure when you bought your tractor so can not tell you the exact incentive that was in effect at the time. They vary from month to month and have been as low as 500.00 which changes the dealers cost.
You should post where you're located. I would have gladly sent my business your way if you were anywhere close, I'm sure others would too. But I understand why you don't. But you're an invaluable resource to this board.
I gave $21,900.00 for my TC40D in January, 2002. I can't remember if I got $500.00 or $800.00 back from New Holland. Thanks Spencer200 for all the great information.
You got that right. The rest of the dealers would hang me. For giving you guys such valuable information, but I feel there is such a thing as a fair price and an excessive price.
