My local CNH dealer also carries mahindra. Thus there is a good selection of blue and red tractors on the lot.
I've noticed over the years that he sells a few older legacy 'Ford' tractors as well.. I guess trades.. etc. Anyway.. I noticed today they had a 70's era ford 3000 ( 3cyl, diesel, PS ) in.. it was priced at 6995... Looking at a comprable hp new mahindra, same hp.. gear tranny and 2wd.. just like the ford.. the new mahindra was only 8995.. kinda weird see the low price difference from the older domestic unit, and the new unit . Anyone else see similar situations at dealers selling more than one line of machine? soundguy |

Around here if you have a older Ford, Massey or IH in good shape they bring a good price . 3000 TO 5000 model tractors are still popular and they are tough to beat for the small to medium farmers. Just think of the cost you have in a tractor to clean it up and repaint and fix minor things. Unless you do all of the laybor yourself it aint cheap. I think they will hold there value for some time .
