Engine cover says TC40A
SER # dealer says comes back to a TC40DA .
The NH number switch is a pain in the rear. IMO they would be better off just staying the same and using a year model designation .

I love this tractor it was this or a Kubota and , this won out as it was more quality IMO

The DAs models had HST transmissions. The As had shuttle shift. By the way, nice looking tractor! :D

Well it is a shuttle shift. Thanks for that info.

edit
anyone know how this will handle slopes.
I have some steep slopes that will need trail maint. and logs dragged out.

Hello Dogtired, I have skidded plenty of logs for my portable logmill wih my NH TC35hst. Go slow, skidding on any slope is dangerous. Easy to lift front end and roll. go real slow with the big logs in particular. if there is any doubt. Chain the log and locate tractor on level ground to pull. enjoy your tractor,Cary
