The T1510 and T1520 are not being discontinued, indeed the lineup is being expanded with the soon-to-come T1530--45hp (gross) and available with 12X12 or hydro trans. It will retain the boxy body style of the TC30, T1510.
As for the new numbers, had I to guess enough dealers/customers raised a stick about the "simple" system (TC30, TC45, et al) switching to something seemingly random that New Holland changed the compact system to something that designated frame size and HP.
To wit, the former TZ25 is now the 1025; the former TC40/T2310 is now the 3040. First numeral is frame size, second numeral is reserved for variation/update, and the last two denote HP.
Frankly, I think the new system is a winner--just wish they had done that from the start.
