What is it worth?

Hope someone can help. My uncle is a Veteran and has been diagnosed with cancer. At the same time that he is dealing with cancer the bank is foreclosing on his home. I am trying to help him out as much as I can. He has a 1969 Ford Backhoe 4400 series with a 3 cycle gas engine. I know absolutely nothing about this kind of thing but I am trying to help him sell it. Anybody have any idea what it might be worth. He is telling me that he has $12k in it but I have no idea if this is a realistic price. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately.. that price is high.

an internet search of for sale sites and ag and heavy equipment sites turned up LOTS of 4400's some with loaders.. some with hoes.. etc.

low price was 1500.. high price was 7850.. median seemd 4000-5000$

that machine will be competein in the ford 445 range.. I saw models in that unit's range in the 5-8K$ area.
