Reason for you liking your cab??? Don't you have 2 feet of snow in Colorado?? You'll be nice and toasty clearing snow.

Well, snow and general cold. The AC has a leak (another notch in my list of things to do), so when I was using it this summer I left the back window open. I didn't think I was doing anything particularly dusty. Boy, was I wrong. Saw all the dust collected around the cab and gained some appreciation for the added value. Then you throw in the rainy summer we had (pretty nice when it can't really decide to rain or not). And it is less noisy.

And perhaps equal to having a heater -- with the lights and the mounting locations (front and rear -- bigger alternator with a cab) I can extend my working opportunities. You do need ac with a cab though, it's a big greenhouse in the sun (not just a luxury). A friend said it was 'decadent'.

By the way, nice by-line!

Thanks, the by-line is my original...not taken from anyone/anywhere.

"Decadent"?? What's decadent about the cab, or did I miss something?

Well, all the nice features that came with it: a/c, tilt/telescope wheel, automagic buttons all over. Especially compared to my old VAC (or any other basic old tractor). Shoot, just having an adjustable seat is nice compared to that. It's like comparing my old 71 Dodge pickup and my wifes new Silverado. One has a chrome stripe, color matched dash & seat belts, automatic trans and an AM radio: that makes it a Custom. The other one is missing only the sunroof option (memory seats, electric everything, temp control, etc).

Makes you wonder how we got along in 'the olden days' -- AFTER the invention of rubber tires and the internal combustion engine.
