Both are the same price ($6900):

1996 New Holland 1720 2WD with 605 hours

2000 TC30 2WD with 1061 hours

Which would you choose, and why? Thanks for any input. I don't know a lot about tractors and I could use some help.

Do you know TC30 has transmission driven pto or has live PTO? usually 2WD ones have a single clutch. 1720 Is going to have live pto (dual clutch) that is certainly a much better setup. Any pics, or the shape they are in.

I wouldn't waste my time without four wheel drive. Once you have it you can never get along without it.

Tractor data reports live pto as an option on 1720 as well. since they don't mention it I think both rigs have transmission driven PTO. You'll be happier with live pto but transmission driven pto with one main clutch is simpler and cheaper than live to repair. I'd probably lean toward TC-30 if both have same transmissoin driven pto.

1720 has a larger, more robust chassis and less hours. If the PTO configuration and general condition is the same, I'd buy the 1720. More bang for the buck.
