Found a Ford 4610 w/6' foot bush hog yesterday. It has 1662 hours and runs good. It is the 1984 model. Body is in good shape, tires are 85%, and the bush hog has not been used much. The price is $8,800.00 for the package. The price on the net is all over the place for the 4610. Good price or not?

Per your description and with those hours and with a 'hog that's a good price for a Ford 4610. I have one and it's a great tractor in that horsepower range. How many remotes?

one remote on the 4610. but i have been looking at two different 5610. one is at a local dealer for $10,500.00, with 2200 hours. they say it is a one owner. have not taken a look at it yet. the other one is a private sale (775 hours/$10,500.00), but today i found out the clutch is bad and will need to be replaced. it will be my luck that i will let the 4610 get away from me while i am looking at the 5610's.

5610s needing a clutch is still a better deal than a 4610 because if the 4610 ever has pto trouble u better break out the really deep pockets

775 hours and the clutch out, is not right. The original clutch usually lasts 3000-5000 hours. I would double check those hours and be sure the orignal tach cluster is still in the tractor. At 775 hours, it should still have 3/4 tread on the original tires all round. Ken Sweet

usually it last a long time but i have seen them go out with less hours if u ride the clutch it steady slips and will go out alot sooner than normal i have even seen it go so bad that the fingers on the pressure plate broke off
