Good Price and Questions on a Ford 5610S

I have been looking for a bigger tractor to upgrade over my Ford 3910 II. The Ford 3910 is at the bottom end for HP for my round baler and disk cutter. I have found a 1994 Ford 5610S for $12,500.00. Tires are 80%, one remote, and 755 hours. No FEL. Did some net price checking and the prices were all over the place. Did more looking on the net and found that the 1994 S models were made in Mexico and they were strip down model in the 5610 line. Also found that they were a gutless tractor and some in other forums have stated the Ford 4610 is a stronger tractor. I also found a Ford 4610 (see other post) that I am also looking at. What is a good price for the 5610S and are they a weaker tractor over the Ford 4610?

5610 s has way more power than a 4610 and no it is not a striped down model of the 5610 line it is just a newer model because before the 5610s was around they was called 5900 which was a 5610 made in mexico and that was made and a lower cost because of the cost of manufacturing and the 5900 was a very popular tractor in it day my father sold other 250 of them in about 2.5 years but the 5610s is just a newer 5610 and was made in mexico after they quit producing the 5610 series 2 in the usa and went to the 40 series which was a higher priced tractor so they had to start making the 5610s series tractor in only open station and with a 8 X 2 trans to beable to compete what other manufactures

and that is a good price and that tracor

I pretty much agree with whodat.

the 10S series was mexican made.. and a bit of an economy line... I have a 7610s.. love the tractor.

I'd take a 5xxx over a 4xxx any day if looking for hp. and the 8spd crashbox is virtually bulletproof.

forgot to add.

not that there's anything wrong with a 4610.. but if you are upgrading from a 3xxx i'd take mor ethan a single step up.
