Ford 4610 with Equipment $8,250.00 Good Deal or Not

Well I been looking for a bigger tractor and everything that I looked at has been high dollar junk. So yesterday I purchased a Ford 4610 with a Big Bee L660 bush hog and a New Holland 56 hay rake for $8,250.00. The tractor has around 1660 hours, sheet metal is straight and the tires are 85%. The only two things wrong with the tractor is the lights and fuel gage don稚 work. The seller stated they stopped working 15 years ago. The cutter has not been used much and the hay rake needs new tires. The equipment and tractor was stored in a barn and show little wear. Is the price in line with what a 4610 should sell for?

that is the lower end price on that model with that low of hours i have seen the bring 1500 to 2000 more with no implements

Based on your description, that sounds like a good buy especially with the equipment. I have an '82 4610 and I think the electrical system was designed in Britain with a non-integral solid state voltage regulator. I think the electrical system is the only poorly designed system on the tractor! The rest of it is bullet proof.

Take off $1000 for the rake and $850 for the Brush Hog and you have got a heck of a deal on the tractor. Ken Sweet
