Re: 1964 ford LCG 2000
ignition switch.. 10$
GOOD carb kit 35$
can of carb spray.. 5$
can of carb dip 20$
wire and lamp switch.. 20$
bat box + cost of angle iron and some 1/8 plate or a salvage or repro. figure 50$
ps repairs could set you back a good few hundred depending on what does or doesn't work in the system..
as is.. I'd have to say.. no more than 1500$ MAX.. and i personally wouldn't pay that either... plenty of better ones to be had at not much more money...

Re: 1964 ford LCG 2000
What transmission does it have?
The four speed transmission versions are worth least due to the absense of live PTO. $2000 max. Add a bit if it has a Sherman combination auxiliary transmission.
The Select-O Speed versions are much more versatile due to independent PTO and the availability of many more gear ratios. That said, many folks are afraid of the S-O-S transmission so they usually do not sell for any more than the four speed models.
In this market I would not spend more than $2000 for the tractor described even if it has a Sherman or S-O-S.

Re: 1964 ford LCG 2000
quite obviously it has a 4 speed and some sort of sherman, from looking at the pics. shifter handle is visible in 1st pic, thus showing you it is a 4 or 5 speed. 2nd pic clenchis it with a sherman poked out on the left side, meaning it is for sure a 4spd. likely a combo, but NOT an OD only.
i have a 4000 RC 4 cyl gasser, factory WF, sherman combo.

Thanks Guys for all the input. I think I will pass on this one.
I have a lot of grass on hills to finish cut,I thought it Might be a bit safer with the wide stance but not looking to overpay.

Re: 1964 ford LCG 2000
a lcg set wide WOULD be good for cutting on a hill.
and while a 4spd isn't awesome.. it is fine for hogging... IF it's priced correctly.
if that unit was/is dirt cheap.. go for it. if spendy.. pass on it..
