    Default 1975 Ford 3600 price

Been eyeing this tractor for a couple of weeks now. Dealer about 2 hours from me has it but I haven't had a chance to see it in person yet. I was curious if the price seemed in line for the condition or is it a little high perhaps? I need to find out the hours and whatever else the dealer can tell me about it. Thought I'd give him a call in the morning and run some questions by him. Anything specific I should ask him? from the pics the tractor looks to be in good shape, might have had a paint job recently but from the pics I didn't see any visible leaks.

Been looking for a tractor strictly for bush hogging and thought this might fit the bill. would a 5' or 6' light duty brush cutter work best behind this? Dealer sells bush hog's too so maybe I can get him to do up sort of a "package deal".

serial number for the tractor is: C334665

Ford makes a good Utility Tractor. That one looks nice. You might ask him to run it on the Dyno for a few minutes. That would give any oil leaks a chance to show up. I worked for a Ford Dealer years ago and we went over every Utility that was traded in. There was always someone ready to buy them when we were finished with them.

What would you suggest I offer him for the tractor? Might have some wiggle room since I'll also be buying a new or used bush hog from him too. Have to see what he had that will work with it. I was guessing offer him $5500 for the tractor and look for a good used bush hog in the trader.

probably still more than it's worth.

again.. 5 ys ago.. 4500-6500 was the norm for a good 3 cyl.

lately... a year ago.. you could get them for 2800.. heck.. I bought a 4600 for 3900$.. neede dpaint, a steering line repair.. welding on fenders, and monior wrenching.. fluid change.. etc.... I had less than 5000$ in it when done...

your region may be a bit different.. and the economy IS slowly creeping up.. AND a 3600 IS a decent tractor... etc..

I sold my 3600 gas in 2008 for 6200, I don't think that is too much for a diesel if everything is in good working condition and the hours are not too high. The steering was really nice on my tractor smooth as butter. I'm sure the dealer has a little room to come down.

Demand is a little higher and the cost of a Tier IV compliant tractor is about 25% higher than a comparable Tier III machine. Used tractor prices have gone up accordingly.
