Hi all...I am new to the forum and new to tractors...I have a lead on two units...one old, one new:

Ford 1220 - 1989 (serial #)
- $7800
- Shibaura engine
- Power Steering
- Loader
- Mower with shoot/bagging
- Tractor Supply quality rear blade and boom pole
- Less than 1000 hours (seem too low to me)
- 17HP and 14 at PTO

Massey GC2300 - 2007
- $8500
- Iseki engine
- All the above except NO MOWER/BAGGER or blade or boom pole (which I don't care much about)
- 180 hours
- More power with 22.5HP and 18.7

Anyone have opinions on old vs new...They both have what I need (FEL, Power Steering and 4WD)...More power with the Massey, but the Ford is heavier...It has a mower which is nice...I value around $750 (sound right?)...So the Ford is about $1500 cheaper when you figure in mower value...and $700 face price difference...

Would love people's thoughts...I am leaning Ford for the classic karma and the mower...but the low hours and newness of the Massey is tempting...

Thanks!

More hp is always better.

You might check but I don't think the 1220 has power steering.

The GC is newer, which can be a benefit. Price a mmm for it, will be on the high side of $2,000 to add a new mmm.

I have a Ford 1215 and while more power would be nice it has done everything I need of it so far. Very capable for its size.

The 1220 may or may not have power steering. Parts (depending on what's needed) for the 1220 can be very difficult to locate. Filters and fluids are easy, some of the other stuff, not so much. I had a 1220 for quite sometime, 88 til 96 or 97, with the same setup and used the 60" belly mower all the time.
