photo.jpgPlease help. I've been working for four hours to identify exactly what tractor I bought.
This is what I know:
hi/low range, 8-speeds
These are the numbers behind the starter:
B-071591-7F9
R282961
I'll post some pictures in a minute.
Thank you in advance.

post some of the usefull numbers off the bellhousing flat that is on the same side as the starter.

ps.. 5000 are 4 cyl. 4000 are 3 cyl.

i see 4 lines on the simms injector pump.

i also see the olderlouvered

68 and back tin.

if the block has screw in core plugs vs regular knock outs.. it is a 233ci engine.. and near the lower hp quoted. if it has the knock out plugs.. it's a 256ci engine and 70hp.

nice looking.

i LOVE my 5000

Hi CityBoy,
We've had one picture today, of a man wearing a vest and tie on a tractor and now you're wearing dress pants and a white shirt. Hope you enjoy your Ford. :)
