New Holland TL80A

I'm looking into buying this tractor and wanted to know what you think it would be worth. It had 8,344 hours on it and the A/C compressor is burnt up. It does run good and burns no oil and it has no oil leaks. It was used on a grass farm all it's life pulling a 12' turf mower. The owner says it's still on the factory clutch and top end.

Do a search on the major online equipment advertising sites. Fastline, Tractorhouse, IronSearch, etc. The comparables you get from actual ads will be helpful.

Something doesn't sound right. They usually don't use a tractor that size, FWA and R1's, to mow on a turf/sod farm, maybe retired from field work. Check it out carefully, it's a lot of hours. Can't help with price, it probably was low-mid $30s brand new. What trans?, dual power?, radials, etc were the deluxe version, quite a few more $$ when new.

Owner told me it has the 12 speed transmission. Has four speeds with low, med and high range. Said it has the CNH non turbo engine in it that was serviced regular along with the drivelines. Owner told me it was used to mow with running a 10' flail mower then later on it ran a 12' LandPride flex wing finish mower on St Augustine grass.
They bought new and has all the papers on it. What was the difference between the TL80 and the TL80A?
