I own a 96 1920, ag tires filled with calcium, and fel. I would to buy a 6ft but wondering if the tractor will pull the 5ft better. Any input?

The rear width of the tractor is 5'5" so a 6 foot would be nice so I would be working on an area wider than than machine, but i dont want to get one to wide so that its struggling for traction. Any input?

Hello,

I would love to have a 1920.
I borrowed a 1920 with a 6 ft boxblade and it pulled it completely full of gravel as if it was not there. It was 4wd btw.
I have a 1520 4wd and I use a 5 ft boxblade though not as well as the 1920 did with the 6 ft.
I think a 5 ft would be to small on a 1920.

thanks

Excellent, it's 4wd, I will try and find a 6ft blade

Remember that weight is your friend when it comes to grading. Try to get as heavy of a unit as you can. 800-1000lb unit would be good. ;)

I had the 1920, 4wd, empty tires and it pulled a medium weight 5 ft effortlessly. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a 6 ft. You can always feather it a bit if you need to.
