Ford 2110 - what\'s the HP?

I did a search for 2110 on these forums and got nothing?!?

On Machinefinder.com there are two listed. One says 30hp and the says 40hp. Anyone know?

Are these good tractors?

I like both the xx10 and xx20 series tractors.. both seem to be solid. From what i've seen.. the xx20 series has a few more bells/whistles/options while the xx10's are more of an economy tractor.. with economy, I don't mean lower quality. Just missing some ergonomics and features that would make it more expensive.

I had a 1920.. loved it.. would have loved a 2120.. drooled over a few I went to see.

I also checked out a 1910 at one time..older unit.. but decent.

Looked real close at a 3010s my dealer had on consignment but waited too long and it left. Finally got my 7610s at the same dealer... super great machine.

According to tractortips, the 2110 is 31pto hp, 38 eng hp.. 3 cyl gas.. 158ci made from 83-87

I don't have specific experience with this unit.. but for most tractor people.. gas engines scare them away. If this is indeed a gas engine.. just keep that in mind. ( tractor tips is not a pinacle of unquestionable correct info.. I'd give them about 80% tops.. )

See what you can find out about the unit. and compair that to the price and condition.


The quote you saw of 30/40 hp was probably one owner qutoing pto.. the other qutoing engine.. both a hp or so off...

I just checked MACHINERYLINK. It says the 2110 has a Shibaura engine. My uncle has the 1900 witha Shibaura and it's diesel. Did Shibaura make a gas job? Anyone/ Anyone?

The 2110 was definately a diesel. I had a 1710 at the time and the 2120 was its big brother. After my 1710 I stepped up to a 2120 which is 43hp 34.5 pto and is underated. the 2110's hp was close if not the same as the 2120.

I think there may have been 2 different 2110's made that have no relation to each other. I seem to recall having trouble locating manuals when ford/ New Holland had there online manual locator.

ford made a 2110 highway tractor that came with a gas engine(134ci 4 cylinder) however that tractor was made very shortly in the late 5o's early 60's-(it escapes me now) the 2110 compact tractor was diesel only- good tractor for its time.

Have no knowledge of 2110 rating but the 158 cu. in. 38HP (31 PTO) gas engine sounds like the one used in the 3 cylinder Ford 2000 that was made from the mid 60's to the mid 70's. It's a good easy running engine with plenty of torque and low fuel consumption...very easy to live with.

There may have been a version of the 2110 that used this engine as I think the Ford 2xxx series all descended from the 3 cylinder 2000.

That older gas job must be what the other site is listing.

Strange that ford used the number over.. should have added a revision number to make it more clear.. etc.

I confirmed that this tractor was made in 86. It is a diesel and has FWD. It is the 33hp - 38hp model.

This trator is in great shape and was used since new by a golf course (light work?).

I am thinking of making an offer.

Ford made 3 series of compacts before the Boomers, the 00, 10 and 20 series, I think the smallest were 10xx, the 11xx, 12xx, 13xx, 15xx, 17xx. 19xx and 21xx. I not sure about the lowest numbers. There was also a few 15 and 25 series models which were used to fill in economy price points (similar to the TC30). The 10 series tractors were excellent tractors and many are still runing strong. I ran my 1710 for years and it was a trooper. The 2120 is same step up over the 1910 that the 2120 is over the 1910-much larger frame, as my dealer puts it, the only tractor in the compact line that performs like a ag tractor.
