I assume you are buying? I had a Ford 1600 and ran it for several years mostly mowing with a 5' bush hog. Its a simple tractor with a 9x3 transmission (9 fwd 3 rev) and will run all day on a snif of diesel. The downside is no power steering and major parts could be a problem. The normal bolt-ons though can be had anywhere. I liked mine though, and if its as good as you say probably worth $5500, although I'd sure check everything out first.
