What is a fair value (range) for a Ford 1600 (2 cyl diesel) with attached Ford 770 FEL. The FEL has dual cylinders for lift and bucket dump (they also offered the std model with the spring dump). Not sure of exact year on the tractor, but it does have 780 hours, starts and operates fine and has been stored in a shed.

Thanks,
Ed

I was told by two different dealers that if I was to sell it outright, (not trade in value), I should ask 2500.00 for the tractor and 1500.00 for the loader or start around 5000.00 and go from there. Depends on your area and condition of tractor. If the hours are correct, that is low. Those tractors were made for only a few years, around 1978 and 79 I believe. Mine was very reliable and always kept inside so it looked great. Good Luck

I had a 1600 for a few years and really liked it. It ran a 5' brush hog with no problems and a gallon of diesel went a looong ways! Anyways, I paid about $6500 for it with loader, gannon box blade and the bush hog. I sold it a few years later for $8500, but in our area tractors are REALLY scarce and I know that was top dollar. Mine was a 1978 and I had no problems with it at all, except for a few small oil leaks. Parts though I've heard could be a problem, but I never needed any except a thermostat (Kragen). I liked that tractor, anyways good luck. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Thanks for the insight guys. These are a sweet little tractor. This one belongs to my in-laws. One owner, barn stored, and LOW hours (780 - I think). Just trying to get a fair price for my FIL to sell it to my brother-in-law.

Thanks again.
