    Yes, I just removed the stabilizers only and then hooked a bungee cord around the 3-pt arms to pull them together and have had zero problems with them. It didn't seem to matter whether they were full up or down, so I just "locked" them up with the lock knob on the fender near the position control lever.

    I just reviewed my manual too. I guess you don't have to completely remove the stabilizers. You could detach them from the front attachment point and tie them and the arms together with a bungee cord. Your choice.

    How about the Taylor Backhoes, they sell for less than $4000 new.
