Ford 545

I just put a deposit on a Ford 545. Unfortunately, I've been unable to find out much about it (other than seing the tractor itself). Must be somewhat of a rare model since there's few google hits on it and it doesn't show up on the pages that normally list tractor specs.

Anyone know anything about it?

HP? Weight?

How do I figure out what year and submodel it is (there's also a 545A, 545C and 545D from what I've seen)?

Any help is appreacited... I'm a newbie.

The serial number should be a good place to start to find out year & submodel. If the machine was repainted, the correct decals may or may not have been put at the right place.

I have specs on a lot of these machines from older brochures, but can't help with serial numbers. A couple of good photos could help me narrow things down, too.

These tractors are true, heavy-duty workhorses. A more capable loader tractor is rare.

Any info would be appreciated.

I guess the basic weight of the thing is around 4500#, but I gotta add the
loader, wheel weights and filled tires that are on it.
