Can you stop the beeping?

If I remember right on my TT50 I found that sucker at the fuse block. It is a black very thin square attached to the relays. All I did was put black electrical tape over the holes and you don't hear it. I tried to remove it, but it caused another problem, just don't remember what that was. The tape works great!

I recall the beeping sound coming from around the fuseblock, but I could never locate it. Sure makes a lot of noise for a little square.

When the weather warms up a little...I'll take the cover off the fuseblock and take care of it for good.

I guess we have OSHA to thank for that irritating little device.

Oh man, I HATED that beeping... So I just jumped my seat switch, not the best if your concerned about safety, but it suits me just fine...

Nice photo. When I tested the switch, I thought it connected the inner two and the outer two terminals seperately when pressed, although i think on the tractor side, the hot sides are coming from the same source, so it probably does not matter. I know the inner pair controls the shutdown and the outer pair controls the beep.

I eliminated the switch early on but it did not stop the beeping. Disconnecting the little noise maker did though

I for one think companies have gone a bit over board on some of the saftey devices. I purchased a Cub-Cadet about 18 years ago and it had a switch that would stop the mover deck when you backed up. I think I hadthe tractor 5 minutes before I went into the house, found some wire and defeated that saftey "feature". I cut 25% of my grass in reverse. Now the seat saftey switch is still working. Hasn't been a isssue till my nephew wanted to cut the grass. If he sat too far forward the mover would quit. The tempory fix for that was duct tape.

I understand that. But aren't we just defeating the darwin theory with all these safety features? Maybe this is why common sense is lost in America.

Does Product Liability come to mind?? Why do you think ATV's and the like are so expensive. It's not manufacturing...it's Product Liability. ATV's are one simple example of this.

That was my point.. companies doing CYA..

and yes.. we are defeating the darwin stuff.... and letting in some cases.. some prettty clueless people breed... gotta make sure the dumb genes get passed around!
