i have just gotten a 1910 and we are getting around to changing fluids and filters before we put it to work, i need to know how to change the oil for the injector pump a diagram would really help out a lot!

Link below will generally help you. You have a 3 cylinder vs 2 Cylinder depicted in the link below and that should not matter on oil change. Procedure is the same. The oil in the injector is dedicated to injector pump only on 1000 series (Japanese shibaura) to the best of my knowledge, and is not part of the crankcase oil. Use the same oil for injector pump assembly as you use for the engine.

that is a great help, we didn't want to use it to much without changing injector oil and didn't want to wait until the manual came in!

Hello all,
what oil are you using in the engine? Castrol Tection 15W-40 is what i planned on using would that be ok to run in the injection pump as well?

I use Dino Rotella 15W-40 as well as NH Master Gold SAE 15W-40. I don't reckon I can tell the difference. My tractor is not worked heavily and I change oil and filter every 50 hrs.

Hi Mike,

Yes I have. It is essential to change the oil in the injector pump . Please look at the link below. Bear in mind that mine is 2 cylinder Jobby vs. your 3 cylinder rig, but the concept and method is exactly the same.

Great PIC!yep bought the tractor with 85 hours on it and just want to make sure that everything is taken care of properly.. What about the tranmission and hyd fluid? Had some one tell me that it takes 5 gallons of hy-tran fluid. How do you tell if there is enought fluid in the tranmission?

Yes, it take whole bunch of Transmission fluid. I bought Mystick from TSC that meets or exceeds Ford 134 about $35 if I remember it right. I have got the skinny on the whole procedure. I'd recommend you to put your seat belt on, get yourself a Thermos of black coffee or tea in my case. and start reading.

Ps. there is a dip stick on the top cover of transmission that tells you the level, but it will not tell your everything.
