I've read through dozens of grapple, backhoe and remote threads but have not found the answer to my question.

I want to be able to use my grapple and backhoe at the same time via my rear remote, but, when my bachoe is attached, the remotes are bypassed. I saw a thread on the TC35 with a power beyond for a Woods backhoe. It was an aluminum block bolted over the remote valve behind the tire to allow the backhoe and remotes to work at the same time. Is this a NH part or a Woods part, or something else? Power beyond kit? Is this available for a TC33DA?

I'm not interested in using the electric diverter valve. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Jim

I have a TC34DA and wanted the same thing. I ended up going with rear remotes for the BH and used electric over hydraulic on the front end using the joystick with a button to switch between hydraulics for the curl function and grapple grip function. I think this works much better than using the rear remote function. My dealer did all of the install. I got the grapple from Millonzi (one of the last I think) and they shipped it to my dealer. My dealer ordered the electric over hydraulic from WR Long. They mounted the diverter box toward the front of the loaders arms.

Do you have any photos of your diverter valve and switch setup? I've convinced myself I wouldn't like this setup, but I've never actually tried it.
I was sold on the Millonzi grapple myself. I tried to buy one last week, but I guess that's not going to work. It looks like the Long is the next best option. It's difficult to find a light weight grapple, most of them are heavy duty.

I called the service department at the dealer yesterday. Thier suggestion was to use the power beyond port on the backhoe valve stack to take high pressure off the backhoe and run a high pressure hose back to the tractor to operate the remotes and 3-point. Has anyone tried this? The power beyond kit for the backhoe is nothing more than a fiting that replaces a plug in the valve stack. I have to research the plumbing to figure out where to run the high pressure to - back to the diverter valve? They weren't very helpful with this part.

The only problem with this arrangement is the three point arms will be functional. I don't really want to remove them so I'll have to find a way to lock the lever in the down position. The swing cylinders on the backhoe have already mashed the latch for the lift arm extensions. I don't need any more stuff broken.

No I have not shot any photos of it yet. I'll try to get some time to do it when it stops raining in a few days!!! Not sure why you would not want this setup. I always like options so this leaves me open. The only thing after getting it delivered is I think the diverter valve should have been mounted on the frame not on the arms, but I think they could not find any place to mount it to the frame. They also set me up with a little red button on the side of my joystick. In hindsight I'd rather have a 3 position rocker switch.

try a WR Long Electric over hyd kit. it goes in-line with the loader and allows control of the grapple as a third function on the joystick. you can lift, curl and close the grapple at the same time. The valve mounts on the rear axle under the remote valve block. Joystick ball replaced with new handle with rocker switch.

I went through this process this spring while removing stumps. Uncoupling hoses under the tractor to switch between the grapple and backhoe got old very quickly. My dealer installed a power beyond kit on the backhoe itself. Now I can operate the grapple and backhoe without recoupling hoses. The 3 point hitch will remain functional so I would recommend a lock-out lever to prevent accidental use of the 3-pt. By the way Worksaver makes a compact tractor duty grapple. I'm very pleased with the new setup. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies and pictures.

Viewquest - where does the hose from the power beyond hook up, back to the diverter valve where the hose is removed for the backhoe?
Thanks,
Jim

Jim- I'm not sure since I had the dealer do all the work for me since I'm not that knowledgeable regarding hydraulics. I would think that it would have to supply high pressure to the 3rd remote setup for my grapple and to the 3pt hitch setup.

Did you install the kit yourself? What did the kit cost if you dont mind me asking? I was wonder if I get the kit where I might install it on my tractor as it has a cab and no room around the loader itself. I like your setup. Out of the way but still accesable. If you installed it yourself could you post some pics. I would liek to see pics whre the lines are run and where exactly the lines plug into the tractor itself.

Thanks

Certain backhoe valves can be converted to power beyond configuration. THen the rear remotes can be fed from the BH valve and function normally. At work, we have set up a couple NH and Bradco hoes to work this way.
