I was wondering what the 3 point lift capacity is for my Ford 1000. I have the manual and dont see it listed anywhere.

Not sure right off hand.. what ya planning to do with it?

i used to have one and had a 3pt sprayer on it with a water tank. i'm sure she picked up about 1000# with no problems.. hopefully someone else has the actual answer for you.. it's been 20 years since I drove a 1000.

I was not able to find that information for my 1700 or any other hundred series Ford, I don't know why it is not published. My owner's manual does not have that #. Ford 1000 and 1700 are very similar in size, HP and weight. I have compared the dia of my lift piston and it is very close to a TC-30. The hyd pump relief is set just above 2000 psi and TC-30 can lift about 1700 lbs. I have no doubt that Ford 1000 and 1700 at the very least lift 1300-1500 lbs and for sure 1000 lbs as Soundguy suggested. I pick up 800 lbs tiller with no problems and pulled out 6" dia wooden post buried 3 feet with no problems at all . I reckon the latter requires a lot more than 1000 lbs to achieve.

If I recall, Ford 1000.1100 and 1200 were one chassis and 1300, 1500 and 1700 being one step up. I don't think that a 1000 has anywhere near the 3 pt hitch lift capacity that a 1700 does. I had a 1710 and I recall the 1000 being tiny relative to it.

In my Ford 1000 series service manual I found the lift capacity for the 1100 listed in the repair section for the hydraulics. The 1100 has a lift capicity of 881 lbs in lower top link. I don't know why that makes a difference. I hope this helps

The 1000 should be ( IIRC ) a different chassie... they were only built about 3ys.. 73-76? and were 25 engine hpand weighed about 2400# ( IE.. 8n sized machines )

the 1100/1200 were smaller riding lawnmower sized machines with 13 engine hp / 1200# and 16 engine hp / about 1300# respectively ( 4wd may add some weight there.. )

Completely different class of machine... the 11xx and 12xx are like riding lawnmowers.. the 1000 was more of a traditional scut sized tractor.

Other ford / NH tractors in that size, as pointed out have lifts inthe 1000-1800# area.. My 1920 ( slightly larger tractor.. had something like 1890# lift rating ). A ford hundred series tractor had at least 1200# lift, with an N doing near 1000# if you chained the front axle to the ground and the in-pump relief wasn't weak.

Thanks for the replies. I checked the owners and repair manuals, the relief valve is set at 1425 psi but thats all I could find. I was just curious but as Soundguy and others pointed out, it should be at least 1000lbs. The 770 loader is listed at 700 lbs.

Not sure if the picture appears but I have a 1200 that I recently picked up, great little machine, I pick up just under a face cord of hardwood with a 3 PT pallet forks. I want to start a thread on my new purchase but have not had time to get the picks and stuff together.

I noticed the 1000 and 1600 are shown as being similar to each other as they are covered in one of the repair manuals that I have. Thats quite a lift capacity for the 1710 and 1910.
