1720 FEL

Hello everyone. Just bought myselft a nice 1720, now I want to start looking around for a FEL, will be a used one. How can I find a list of FEL's that will fit this tractor so I can start looking through the bulletin boards? I tried searching the forums, didn't find anything. Thanks in advance for the help.

The Ford 7108 and New Holland 7308 will fit a 1720 given the proper brackets come with the loader. If you can find a decent 7108, I think they are a better unit, although older. I don't know how you can identify which aftermarket loaders fit a 1720. A Woods 1012 probably would, they are a decent loader.

I have a 1720 and have researched this extensively...

The New Holland alternative is the 7308 or newly numbered 110TL...

The Bush Hog equivalent will be the 2246QT or newly numbered 2247QT...

The Woods equivalent will be the LC96...

The Rhino equivalent will be the 2408...

The Westendorf will be the TA111...

All of these loaders lift 96" to 100" total height...

The New Holland will probably be higher in price from my previous research...

Keep in mind that the lift capacities for all of these units are a little different in that they use a different psi in the ratings. The 1720 only goes up to 2150 psi max...

Also keep in mind that the 1720 has a front axle rating of 930#...

The lift capacity at the pins will be higher than the lift capacity at the bucket edge...

The New Holland is rated @ 875# max cap. at the pins at max height...

That number will be reduced by approximately 30% @ the bucket edge...

Good info for me too, as I also just purchased a 1720 and might want to add a loader in the future.What kind of tires do ya'll have on your 1720's?I'd like to have the R1's but don't want to pay $1500.00 for wheels from my local New Holland dealer.Does anyone know where I could get them for less.Here's a pic of mine at hunt camp.

I have 12.4-24 R1's on the back of mine, I forget what size the front R1's are. Your tractor looks pretty good.

I am impressed. You did your homework well! Here is a visual example of what moving the point of measurement means to the lift capacity of a FEL. It also shows how the psi can skew the capacity numbers when you are trying to compare apples to apples. It's for a little larger loader, but the concept is the same.
