Also, you may notice that I've steered away from using the term "compact tractor" and am sticking with "Boomer." Boomer tractors cover all ranges from the 1000 series through the 4000 series. The economy model tractors like the 1510 are not really Boomers. So there is another exception to the numbering scheme that just gets more confusing the more I talk about it. The Class designations only relate to tractors of the same frame size and that used to be clear. Now, the waters have become muddy and I don't think it's clear at all.![]()

The most irritating thing about New Holland is the many numbers for the same model of tractor. There for awhile, it seemed like they "stirred their alphabet soup" as often as possible. ![]()
