| I believe kebo is on the right track.. depending onthe switch type, there may be corrosion or other conductable debri forming at the switch contacts.. or even conductive moisture.. could be 'triggering' the circuit the switch controlls.. soundguy |

| OK, I'm taking the advice and looking but just have not found anything yet. But, the ghost is being consistent. The last three days, the radio comes on between 1:00 and 1:05 pm. I can stand there for about five mins and the darn thing turns off. This is wierd.

The on-off circuit is shorting to the constant power circuit in the radio.I've got an old windows 98 puter that does the same thing. | |

So you are saying that the problem is internal in the radio itself. Makes sense but it sure is odd that it happens at the same time every day for just a few minutes. I still think it is the ghost of the miserable woman I bought this house from, but I can swap the radio out easy enough. I just don't want this to get to the point where it drains my battery

| Everyday between 1:00 and 1:05? It has a clock that keeps time? Does this thing have an alarm feature that you may not be aware of? Try setting the clock several hours ahead and see if the ghost changes the broadcast times. Weird. SimS |

| Sorry I did not respond sooner, but I was away. SimS, you are correct. I can't say I've ever seen it before on any radio in any vehicle I've owned, but this unit does in fact have an alarm. I would have never noticed it if you did not mention it. Sometimes the simplest things, eh?
