Can anyone give me the whole story on "S" series Fords. Specifically, Im looking at a 95 model 7610. Apparently they are a bit cheaper made. Only 1 hydrolic pump, non telescoping arms, etc, etc. What about the motor, drive train, transmission, etc??? Are they the same as the Fords made in the 80's? If anyone has the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, I would really love the hear about "S" seires Fords. thanks

Transmissions and final drives are similar, but not identical to earlier counterparts. Engines are generally equivalent to engines used in similar sized tractors built at the same time as the 'S' series tractor in question due to emissions requirements which preclude the use of older designs. Operator station, controls and sheet metal are a mix of unique parts and common parts.
