Default Re: NH T1530 hydraulic leak - Help!

I looked up p/n SBA322140280 and that part is used twice on the PTO size of the case. I'm thinking that's the press in covers that are 2-3 inches in diameter directly below the PTO.

My best guess is P/N SBA38460390 which is described as a 15mm dia X 5mm plug. I see this part used on another side of the case used with an oil seal and retaining pin, but on the rear side, the New Holland drawings don't show any other parts. I'm thinking this part is just the cover, not the part that actually seals the hole. I have put in an email request to New Holland for assistance, but am doubtful that I'm going to get any answers. I also have to wonder if there wasn't a problem in the hole that caused the original plug and oil seal to come out in the first place. So, a new one may not stay in either.

The plan right now is to pick up a pipe plug to fit that 15mm diameter hole. The pipe plug is oil/gas resistant and can be ordered to fit very snugly in the 15mm hole. Plan B is one of those rubber oil pan plugs. They come in 5/8 inches which is very close to 15mm.

Sorry for wrong part #.
Also you probably have a 1530 not a T1530. 1530 s wer made in late 90s( 96 -99)

Don't be so down on CNH. They will probably get you and answer. Send them the picture of it. Or email messicks.com with your picture, they may be a big help.

Yes, it is a Model 1530, But for some reason, the model tag and the hood are marked T1530.

I have an open case with NH customer service and am hoping for the best, but it is a 10 year old tractor and the NH drawings don't clearly show this plug. There is a plug, not in the right location, in the NH drawings which I believe is the correct one based on the description, but it's just a outer cover, not an oil seal. Finding the right part number for the oil seal and whatever holds it in place is tough when the NH drawings don't include it and it's an older tractor.

There also seems to be a priority in NH customer service to close open service cases. My case had to be reopened after they closed it when they send a quick email reply.

Messicks has the same incomplete NH drawings on their website.

I even tried looking at a current model tractor which appears to have the same plug in the same location, but those drawings too don't include the oil seal. I find it hard to believe that this plug is also supposed to be the oil seal and depends only on friction to hold it in place in the presence of hydraulic fluid. Then again, this would help explain why it popped out. I'm hoping for answers from NH, but am also planning for alternate solutions if NH does not come through. Luckily, I don't use this tractor very often, so I can take my time to find the right solution.

I wonder if this hole is in housing to help with assembly of internal parts at factory? And a plug is inserted to seal hole. Must not be a very big problem since your machine is first one to be mentioned on this forum to have a problem. I do not know if the housing is subed out . If it is, maybe the company that does the housing will be able to help with part.
My TC29 is a 1999 machine and have had no problems getting any parts. Mine is one of the first TC 29s built. I had to wait to get it as boomers were just coming out.
