JC, When you buy the 1 3/4" strips it only comes in semi metalic or non metalic and I got the non metalic. It was a pretty easy job. I didn't even have to remove the fenders.

Here are the pics finally. The first pic is of the shoes after blasting and painting. The 2nd,after pre drilling the 3/16 holes for the rivets I used a 3/8 end mill to counter sink for the rivet heads. 3rd, After applying glue I inserted the rivets to line up the lining with the shoe. When I cut the lining I left it long so I could use zip ties to hole the ends in place while the glue dried and then cut the lining to size.

Great Job Bill,

I'll take notes and save for future reference. I have not taken the drum cover off of my brake as I have adequate braking power now, but I can see down the road your method will be method of choice for me. I just might buy some liner and keep it for future. It appears the cam works totally mechanical and no slave cylinder to try to overhaul.

Thanks for the useful post.

Brake repair data is still good. Item numbers are still the same. Don't know if I will need it but good to know someone was able to share the experience on TBN.

I have saved this for my future reference for over 2 yrs give or take some. My brakes are good but I know how to repair when times come. That's what make this site great.
