ford 4000 loader
I found a loader that came off a ford 4000 tractor, the guy says there is a small hole in the pump housing that can be welded also he took it off tractor 6 yrs ago , its for sale for $500 I haven't looked at it yet and don't know any thing about a loader. I have a 3600 ford will it fit on my tractor and is it worth the price Or should I just spring for a new one and have it installed thanks. for any help

Re: ford 4000 loader
Hi there, How do you mean pump housing, does this loader have its own hydraulic source? As for the mounting on a 3600, they have the different front end(2000,3000)style but are much the same around the bellhousing of the tractor, can be modified to fit,but a bit of stuffing around, may not be too bad a price at $500,perhaps you could just run it off the 3600's pump and be done with it...

Re: ford 4000 loader
Was it on a 4 cyl 4000? If so that's a quite different creature than the 3 cyl models.. still with a torch and welder.. almost any frame swap is possible.
post more details on the 'hole in the pump'...
