I had to remove the power steering pipe from the pump to the steering wheel to have it reflanged. No problem. I topped off my power steering fluid and the steering words but is sloppy and can be difficult to turn. It's usable, but annoying and hard to maintain a straight line or a smooth turn when mowing. I figured I have air in the system and it'll work it's way out on it's own. Well, it's been weeks now and I still have the problem. Is there some process to bleed the lines?

Try turning the wheels back and forth, lock to lock, a few times. Then give it a rest and do it again. Best might even be to jack up the front so the bubbles are compressed less while turning.

and keep topping the ps resv off, if it has it's own resv.

Thanks guys. I jacked it up and did as you said. Much better! Not perfect, but much better!

post back if it does not get progressively better.. or gets worse.

also keep the oil topped off and watch it for the next few uses.. make sure there are not other issues at work.
