Hello everyone--Newbe here--I have a Ford 2000 with front loader. I have installed a front crank driven pump on it, but am unhappy with it. I am wanting to go with the hydraulic adapter plate that mounts on top of the transmission.
Any pros or cons about this, and does this adapter work as good as a pump.

Front pump provides speedier loader though sometimes less power full.

The under the seat / tractor hydraulics and slower and sometimes more powerful.

why would you be unhappy with the front pump? it is almost assuredly more gpm than the built in pump. even if a small ring 8gpm setup it should outprerform the engine pump.

normal ag op psi is 2500 psi.. perhaps the laoder control valve is set real low on relief.. or the pump is bypassing.

need WAY more details.

given that the tractor hyd system won't be over 2500 psi.. I'd not say it will operate at a higher pressure than an external pump.

relief value ont he loader valve may be the limiting factor unless the front pump is worn out..
