Ford 3600 engine & hyd system oil
HI peeps
Before I start mowing for the year, what's the best grade of oil to put in the engine & 3-point system for UK weather?

I like 15w40 C rated oil for both gas and diesels.. if you see especially very cold weather.. I would go 5w40 synthetic diesel oil.
for the hyds and rear, etc.. a utf meeting the M2C134 spec.

utf = universal tractor fluid. and I'm SURE you have something like that, possible under a more european name, over the pond.
I don't own a 3600.. so can't help ya.

Thanks for the info guys, has been a great help.
Looking for UK supplier of the mysterious UTF has been a nightmare. The one stockist I found sells it by the barrel for £600+! Hmmm more than the tractor's worth lol
Have Since found out it's same viscosity as 10w30 motor oil, which is what I was going to put the engine so I may as well order 75 litres to do both the Ford, the roller skate (Kubota!) and our roller!
Cheers guys

BTW chaps, if you get another Brit asking what UTF is, I've just found out it's referred to as STOU over this side of the pond.
Super Tractor Oil (Universal)
Cheers
